After graduating from the University of West England with a BA (Hons) Fine Art Degree in June 2001, Suzanne Clark is now working as a freelance artist from her studio in Brighton. Her work has been exhibited in various exhibitions and galleries across the country.

Past exhibitions include: 'First Open Painting Exhibition' 2001 at the Royal West of England Academy, Bristol at which she was awarded the under-30's prize sponsored by the Friends of the RWA; 'The Open House' Brighton, solo show, May 2002, 2003 & 2004 during the Brighton Fringe Festival; South East Open Studios, June 2004 2005 & 2006; 'This Way Up' project, July 2004, sponsored by Hahnemühle, a new initiative to the annual 'Artists & Illustrators' exhibition, Business Design Centre London, for which she was awarded an arts grant for the individuals from the Arts Council of England; 'The Long Journey Home' group show, Quiggins Gallery, Liverpool, August 2004; 'Picture This...' exhibition, County Gallery, Maidstone, supported by Kent County Council, October 2004;

The paintings shown on this website are a selection of both abstract and representational work.

The abstract paintings (mixed media, large scale on canvas to small works on paper) are very organic in form, and topography is one of Suzanne's major sources of inspiration.

In contrast the farm animal paintings (oils on canvas in a range of sizes) have developed from charcoal life drawings and photographs taken from a local Sussex farm.

Each of the portfolio galleries contains thumbnails of Suzanne's work, or a detail of a painting. Clicking on these thumbnails will open a window with a larger image of the painting. As the site is quite image 'heavy' non-broadband users may find the galleries take a little while to appear - please persevere.
