After graduating from the University of the West England with a BA (Hons) Fine Art Degree in June 2001, I started working as a freelance artist in the Brighton & Sussex area. Working both towards exhibitions in the U.K and on commissions which have gone to the U.K, France, Holland and most recently Australia. For the last year I have been working and travelling in Australia and am planning on returning later this year and then on to New Zealand.
Group exhibitions include:
'First Open Painting Exhibition' 2001 at the Royal West of England Academy, Bristol at which I was awarded the under-30's prize sponsored by the Friends of the RWA.
'This Way Up' project, July 2004, sponsored by Hahnemühle, a new initiative to the annual 'Artists & Illustrators' exhibition, Business Design Centre London for which I was awarded 'an arts grant for the individuals' from the Arts Council of England to set up this website.
'Art & Soul' Fine Art auctions 2006, 2007 in support of Demelza, in association with Bonhams, The Rhapsody House gallery and Wealden Times.
Also see 'past exhibitions' page.
I have just finished working on a commission for Weald Granary which is now hanging in their new conference centre. The painting is dedicated to Tim Calcutt and is based on a Wealden arable landscape with conservation aspects.
